Designing Digital Ads for a major online news network.

As part of my role in creating digital advertising for MPR News, I had the opportunity to contribute to their promotional efforts for their March 19th event in 2024. This involved crafting event materials and digital flyer ads aimed at generating excitement and driving attendance.

To begin, I collaborated closely with the MPR News team to understand the key messaging and objectives for the event. This included gaining insights into the event theme, target audience, and desired outcomes. Armed with this information, I set out to design event materials that would effectively communicate the event details and capture the attention of potential attendees.

For the event materials, I developed visually compelling designs that incorporated elements such as the event date, time, location, and featured speakers or topics. These materials ranged from posters and banners to digital invitations and program guides, each tailored to suit different promotional channels and mediums.

In addition to the event materials, I created digital flyer ads to be used across various online platforms, including social media, email newsletters, and website banners. These ads were designed to be eye-catching and informative, enticing viewers to learn more about the event and ultimately register to attend.

Throughout the design process, I paid close attention to branding consistency and visual appeal, ensuring that all materials adhered to MPR News’ brand guidelines while also standing out in a crowded digital landscape. This involved carefully selecting colors, fonts, imagery, and messaging that would resonate with the target audience and effectively convey the event’s value proposition.

Furthermore, I leveraged my expertise in digital advertising best practices to optimize the performance of the ads, including strategies for targeting specific demographics, A/B testing different ad creatives, and tracking key performance metrics such as click-through rates and conversion rates.

By combining strategic design thinking with digital advertising expertise, I was able to create impactful promotional materials that helped generate buzz and drive attendance for MPR News’ March 19th event in 2024. My role in crafting these materials was instrumental in ensuring the success of the event and maximizing its reach and impact within the community.
